Andrew Edhouse
I have also carved some large abstract pieces. One I am currently carving is a very large piece of Western Red Cedar which is a rare timber with a beautiful colour and grain.
I try to purposely keep detail to a minimum in my work as I feel it detracts from timber sculpture.
I like unbroken lines so that you can really appreciate the inherent beauty of the timber itself. I strive to bring out the grain and like a high polish finish.
My large sculptures are initially shaped with a chainsaw and then hand finished. Some take many months until I am satisfied with their finish.
I hope you like my carvings, if you would like to know more about them, please get in touch.
John Hall
I hope you enjoy looking through the wood carvings I have made.
I make them primarily as a hobby and often give them as gifts to friends and family.
I have made some of my carvings available for sale so that I can further fund my craft.
I enjoy making carvings of animals and there are penguins, squirrels, dolphins, tortoises and other animals shown here.
